In a lengthy interview with journalists Aldo Cazzullo and Paola Pollo in the Corriere della Sera, Giorgio Armani opens up on the eve of the big show in New York. The Italian designer, in fact, did not present the Armani Privé Spring/Summer 2025 collection in Milan, choosing to show in the Big Apple on October 17, the day of the opening of the new building on Madison Avenue. "Chanel was not arrogant [...] Saint Laurent found the right formula to be a little sexier than Chanel, a little more current. Like them, I too have tried to free women and men from many constraints": this is how King Giorgio comments on his illustrious colleagues of the last century, namely those designers who have helped change, together with him, the world of fashion as we know it today. From childhood memories to great loves, passing through colleagues/rivals of yesterday and today, Armani opens his heart. And about the future he reveals "I can still afford two or three years as head of the company; more than that, no, it would be negative".
